Photography Tours in Hoi An since 2009
After over 15 years of experience we know what makes a great photography tour: great locations at the best time of the day, great teachings through the tour and a lot of fun!
Our guides aren't professional photographers in need of making some extra cash. They are dedicated tutors who see the teaching of photography as a full-time activity.
There would be no point in running tours to the same locations and not building strong relationship with the local people. Our guides are all gifted with language skills and can easily interact with the people, making it easy for you to compose your image and have a fun time.
Not only the photographic experience, Hoi An photo tour and workshop offers an immersion into the real Vietnam, thanks to our experienced guides.
Private sunset Tour
I did the afternoon tour, and it was outstanding. We get to go to more remote places that most tourists never get to see. Lots of people working in the field as well as shops along the way. Etienne has an amazing eye for photography and in the couple hours I spent with him I learned to see very differently and new things. I would highly recommend him and this company for any photography tour in Vietnam. At the end of every one of my trips I choose one photograph to be the signature picture for the trip and have it printed and put it on my wall, it is safe to say that one of the photos we took on this tour will be the one hanging on my wall!
Private Full Day Tour
I cannot praise Etienne enough. This has been an incredible learning experience. Be prepared to be challenged, and to learn and for your skills to improve, and get some excellent photos as a result! Etienne totally changed not just how I ‘see’ to compose my photos, but also how I use my camera as a tool, and helped me become more efficient in its use. He is an excellent teacher who doesn’t just tell you what to shoot, but encourages you to think about how to frame things, different perspectives and question what works and doesn’t. I spent 4 sessions with him, and would absolutely book more, or better yet (hopefully one day) a multi day tour. He has so much knowledge to share, and is clearly passionate about what he does, and the people and area that he lives in. I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to work with him, to do so!
Sunrise with the Fishermen
As an introvert amateur, I decided to join the ‘Sunrise in the fishing village’ tour after I read an article in Hidden Hoi An about how it can help get over our shyness, step closer to people and take their photo in a respectful way. I had high expectations, and the tour exceeded all these. I learned a lot from Etienne’s hints for seeking photo opportunities and composing a photo in a specific spot (attention to light, focus, colour, texture, etc.). I wish I had done a tour like this many years ago. Book in advance so that you don’t miss the chance.
